Evergreen continued its Giving Back projects two years in a row at Medical Teams International’s headquarters in Tigard, Oregon. For the 2012 project, the crew installed donated high-efficiency fluorescent fixtures and added occupancy sensors to improve lighting and energy savings in the 10,000 square foot warehouse. The following year, Evergreen volunteers and professionals upgraded interior and exterior lighting at Medical Teams office building. Together, these projects are reducing energy use by an estimated 143,000 kilowatt-hours, which adds up to approximately $11,000 in annual energy cost savings for the charitable organization.
