Program Manager and Lighting Specialist
Aaron manages a range of commercial, multi-family residential and production energy efficiency lighting programs in Oregon. He oversees program design and interacts with supervisors, managers and project coordinators across contracts to help shape policies, procedures and incentive structures that help push energy efficiency market transformation and cost-effective program implementation.
When he joined Evergreen Consulting Group in 2013, Aaron had more than a decade of varied lighting industry experience. He worked for several Portland-area lighting manufacturers and distributors as a project and team manager, sales representative and lighting quotes specialist, often calling on architects, engineers, lighting showrooms and working with contractors on design/build projects. He also spent two years as the head of sales and marketing for a small LED lighting manufacturer. Aaron started out in the lighting industry putting together lighting specifications and reviewing reflected ceiling plans at Janet Nolan Lighting Design in San Francisco. He studied interior architecture and design with an emphasis on lighting design at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco and has completed many lighting and controls training programs through manufacturers and professional organizations. He has been active in the Illuminating Engineering Society of North America, IESNA, since 1998 and earned a Lighting Certified Professional designation from the National Council on Qualifications for the Lighting Professions, NCQLP.
A self-proclaimed lighting geek, Aaron began conducting lighting experiments and installations at home by age 10. He lives in Hillsboro, Oregon, and enjoys exploring on frequent road trips and occasional international travel with his wife and three children.
