Doug works with several utility programs throughout the Pacific Northwest providing program management, technology trainings, efficiency measure research and site consultations. He is also an expert in horticulture lighting efficient technologies and applications. He was a consultant for Evergreen before joining the company in 2007.

Doug has worked more than 27 years in the electrical and lighting field in a variety of roles, including journeyman electrician, estimator and project manager. He was a lighting specialist for a large utility in Portland, Oregon, as well as lighting controls manager for a manufacturer representative. His work as a lighting designer on commercial projects and custom homes received lighting design awards, including an IIDA “Award of Merit” for The Earth Advantage National Center in Portland, Oregon.

He is a past-president of the Illuminating Engineering Society section in Portland and holds the LC designation from The National Council on Qualifications for the Lighting Professions, NCQLP. A graduate of Northwest Iowa Technical College, he also completed an associate degree in industrial technology at Clackamas Community College.

Doug enjoys being outdoors playing golf, hunting, fishing, kayaking or riding a motorcycle. His alter ego plays drums in a band. Doug, his wife, and their son and daughter live in Beaverton, Oregon.
