Tony Adams, LC
National Lighting Manager
As National Lighting Manager, Tony represents both clients and Evergreen on national lighting industry committees, helping to effect national policy, and maintains relationships with lighting industry manufacturers and professional organizations. Tony also provides program design, implementation, technology training and outreach assistance for lighting efficiency programs.
With more than 30 years in lighting, Tony brings a broad portfolio of experience to Evergreen Consulting Group. As co-founder and vice president of engineering for a US lighting manufacturer, Tony was responsible for the design and manufacture of a wide array of energy efficient lighting products, while developing an international customer base. Prior to his 12 years in manufacturing, Tony was senior lighting designer for an international multi-discipline design and construction firm, where his responsibilities included lighting design, interdisciplinary design coordination, master specification writing, construction administration and electrical engineering on projects in the US, Europe, the Middle East and China. Tony interned as an architect prior to entering the lighting field, preceded by experience as a journeyman carpenter.
Recognized with numerous international lighting design awards, he has served as a lighting industry speaker and instructor internationally, and as an adjunct professor for the master’s in architecture program at the University of Oregon. A member of the Illuminating Engineering Society of North America (IESNA) since 1990, Tony was in the first exam group to receive the LC certification from the National Council on Qualifications for the Lighting Professions (NCQLP) in 1998.
An accomplished trombonist, Tony performs regularly as a member of a 17-piece jazz ensemble in the Portland/Vancouver area.
