In November 2019, Bonneville Power Administration’s (BPA) Energy Efficiency staff, utility representatives and program partners gathered in Portland to celebrate the 10-year anniversary and accomplishments of the Energy Smart Industrial program (ESI).

Since 2010, ESI has partnered with utilities and industries to achieve more than 180 aMW of total energy savings, representing 8% of public utility-served industrial load. That’s enough energy to power more than 143,000 Northwest homes for an entire year. It also represents more than $400 million in total cost savings for the region’s industries, including pulp and paper, food processing, high-tech manufacturing, lumber, cold storage, chemical processing and wastewater treatment.

Both Evergreen Consulting Group and Cascade Energy were highlighted for contributions to the program’s success. Read the full story on the BPA website.
